A Three-Dimensional Analytical Solution of Stress Field in Casing-Cement-Stratum System Considering Initial Stress State

چکیده

Accurate stress field calculation of the casing-cement-stratum system is crucial for evaluating wellbore integrity. Previous models treated in-situ as boundary pressure loads, leading to unrealistic infinite displacements at infinity. This study presents a three-dimensional (3D) analytical solution within in inclined wells, considering and hydrostatic cement initial state taking into account components related axial direction. Assuming plane strain condition superimposing in-plane problem, elastic uni-axial problem anti-plane shear 3D obtained. Comparisons with previous indicate that existing model overestimates absolute values failure potential casing both 2D scenarios. The presence greatly increases value compressive but decreases cement, which has not been well studied. Additionally, low Young’s modulus high benefits cement’s integrity since maximum Mises significantly decreases. new can provide benchmark numerical simulation quick assessment

An Analytical Solution to Stress State of Casing-Cement Sheath-Formation System with the Consideration of its Initial Loaded State and Wellbore Temperature Variation

Stress state analysis to casing-cement sheathformation system (CCSFS) is the foundation of the wellbore integrity design and examination. Many elastic mechanic models have been established to calculate the stresses and displacements of CCFS, but all analytical models and most finite element models took no account of the initial loaded state, and ignored the initial stresses and displacements on...

An Analytical Solution for Inverse Determination of Residual Stress Field

An analytical solution is presented that reconstructs residual stress field from limited and incomplete data.  The inverse problem of reconstructing residual stresses is solved using an appropriate form of the airy stress function.  This function is chosen to satisfy the stress equilibrium equations together with the boundary conditions for a domain within a convex polygon.  The analytical solu...

Analytical Solution of Stress Field in Adhesively Bonded Composite Single-Lap Joints Under Mechanical Loadings

In this paper, considering an adhesively bonded composite single-lap joint, a novel approach is presented to predict the peel and shear stress distributions of the adhesive layer for an ASTM standard test sample. In current method, the equilibrium equations are derived using the energy method and based on the Timoshenko’s beam theory. Two solution procedures then are discussed, one of which rep...

Analytical Solution for Stress Field and Intensity Factor in CSTBD under Mixed Mode Conditions

Considering the fact that rocks fail faster under tensile stress, rock tensile strength is of greatimportance in applications such as blasting, rock fragmentation, slope stability, hydraulic fracturing, caprock integrity, and geothermal energy extraction. There are two direct and indirect methods tomeasure tensile strength. Since direct methods always encompass difficulties in test setup, indire...

Numerical Simulation on Open Wellbore Shrinkage and Casing Equivalent Stress in Bedded Salt Rock Stratum

Most salt rock has interbed of mudstone in China. Owing to the enormous difference of mechanical properties between the mudstone interbed and salt rock, the stress-strain and creep behaviors of salt rock are significantly influenced by neighboring mudstone interbed. In order to identify the rules of wellbore shrinkage and casings equivalent stress in bedded salt rock stratum, three-dimensional ...
